About the Event

Every year, McKinley PTA puts together a dinner-entertainment-auction fundraiser that is followed by an online auction. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year and the PTA depends on the funds obtained with this event to support many of the actions detailed in the action plan and budget for the year.

  • How can I attend the event?

    Tickets for the Spring Fundraiser will be sold online and outside school starting March 2nd. Tickets for childcare during the event will also be for sale. No tickets will be sold at the door.

    Plan to get your tickets as soon as they become available as this event has limited seating and sells out every year.

  • Who can come to the event?

    This is an adult only event but childcare will be provided (see below). The Spring Fundraiser is a great opportunity to enjoy an adult evening with other McKinley Families. The event is an adult only night and you are welcome to come alone or bring friends and family with you! Do you know anyone thinking of becoming a McKinley Family? This will be a great opportunity to get to know our community too.

  • Will there be childcare?

    Child care will be $10 per kid, including a pizza dinner and drinks. It will be from 5pm-9pm in the Multi-Purpose room at McKinley. All ages are welcome, but must be potty-trained.

  • Will there be raffles?

    Yes! We will be selling raffle tickets for some amazing prizes outside McKinley starting in March. You can win even if you don't attend the event.

  • What can I expect at the event?

    There will be live music, food buffet, a silent auction with items ranging from tickets to museums, tours, themed baskets, wine, buy-in parties and events hosted by the school teachers. We will also have a live auction where one or two large items will be offered to the best offer and we will also raffle some great items.

  • What can I expect after the event?

    The day after the Spring Fundraiser Gala, an online auction will take place. Anyone can participate in this online auction. Let your friends and family know!

  • When will I get the items I won at the auction?

    Silent auction items will be paid for and taken home the night of the Fundraiser. Online auction items will be arranged for later pick up at school.

  • Live Auction Items

    Got a vacation home? Airline miles? Theme park tickets? Exclusive tickets to a sporting event? Access to a very unique experience?

    We are looking for big ticket items that can potentially go for $1000 or more.

  • Buy-in Parties

    Buy-In Parties are always super popular! Several hosts get together to throw an event and cover the costs. Guests “buy in” to the party by purchasing a ticket. Ticket sales go straight back to PTA!

    Last year, we had a wonderful Moms Brunch event and the super popular Oktoberfest! Other schools have done pool parties, progressive dinners, paint nights, and more! Or maybe you have a friend with a store who is willing to host an exclusive shopping experience? What about a special themed grade level party for the kids? Buy-In Parties can be adults only or kid- or family-oriented.

  • Silent Auction Items

    Once again, we will have a silent auction the night of the event and then an online auction starting the day after the event.

    We need lots of items for these auctions! Gift certificates, wine, trips, experiences, goodies, etc. No contribution is too small so please bring anything you have and we will bundle it up to make a great item! New items only!
